In the Community
As a not-for-profit health care organization, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) exists solely to enhance the health of people in the communities it serves. In addition to providing top-quality medical care, PAMF engages in a wide range of activities and partnerships designed to keep people healthy. We also provide free and discounted care to qualified low-income patients and to those enrolled in Medicare, Medi-Cal and other government programs.
PAMF provides some community service to maintain our tax-exempt not-for-profit status. However, our commitment to keeping local populations healthy is deeper than any regulatory requirement. Since our founding, serving the community has been embedded at the very heart of the work we do.
