Funding Health Clinics that Serve the Neediest

For years, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (which includes the former Camino Medical Group) has supported the RotaCare Free Clinic in Mountain View, largely through the efforts of dozens of physicians who volunteer their time to care for our community's uninsured and underserved residents.

This year, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation helped secure $600,000 in funding for six local community clinics in Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties:

• Axis Community Health in Pleasanton
  
• Ravenswood Family Health Center in East Palo Alto
  
• Tri-City Health Center in Fremont
  
• RotaCare Free Clinic in Mountain View
  
• Santa Cruz Women's Health Center
  
• Dientes Community Dental Care

These gifts are part of the Community Clinic Access to Care Grant program, a commitment by Sutter Health, of which the Palo Alto Medical Foundation is an affiliate, to improve access to health care services to those who cannot afford to pay.

The Palo Alto Medical Foundation also donates volunteer hours and funding to the Opportunity Center of the Midpeninsula, which provides health care, housing and other important services to residents of the Opportunity Center, including children, un-housed military veterans, and day-use clients of the InnVision programs.
