Two session program covers:

  • What is diabetes and its causes
  • Self blood glucose monitoring instruction
  • Diet/weight management
  • Insulin and oral medications
  • Interpretation of blood glucose patterns and making management decisions
  • Exercise guidelines
  • Diabetic emergencies and sick-day management
  • Preventing long-term complications
  • Foot care guidelines
  • Stress and diabetes

Class size is limited.
