Philosophy of Care
I love my job as a primary care physician. I enjoy listening to patients, learning about their concerns, and explaining things in simple, practical terms so they can make informed medical decisions.
My journey in medicine began early on, in elementary school. In fifth grade, I told myself that there is nothing else I'd rather do than to become a doctor. A native of the Bay Area, I studied molecular biology at U.C. Berkeley and spent time doing medical research at Stanford. After getting married, I moved to New York City to attend medical school.
I believe in education, and frequently speak to my patients about preventive care, helping them to take better care of themselves. I also have a strong interest in the management of chronic diseases like hypertension and diabetes. In these cases, I partner with my patients to address these issues with appropriate medications and healthy lifestyle changes.
