    Philosophy of Care

My particular area of interest is in the evaluation and treatment of vein disease. Most people think of varicose veins as only unsightly. However, many people suffer from symptoms related to varicose veins known as venous insufficiency. These veins have often developed insidiously and over a long period of time. While not usually life-threatening, they can cause significant discomfort and limit one's lifestyle. Similarly, cosmetic spider veins can affect one's self image.

I strive to partner with patients to help them understand the causes and physiology of these veins and guide them through the evaluation and possible treatments available to them. It is very important to me that each patient feels that I have listened completely and thoroughly to the issues regarding their veins, and that each leaves my clinic with a sense that we will work together to improve their condition.
