    Philosophy of Care

I am excited to work with you to achieve your health goals. My goal is to understand your needs, preferences, and concerns so that we can develop a plan together incorporating the best available evidence to optimize your health and well-being. Prior to joining the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, I worked as a primary care physician and health services researcher at Stanford University and the VA Palo Alto Health Care Systems. I have published in the areas of physical activity, nutrition, cardiovascular disease, and perimenopause in medical journals such as JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Diabetes Care. I am particularly interested in the assessment of new medical evidence and risk-benefit analysis of treatments, procedures, and tests.
