Philosophy of Care
My personal philosophy is that good health involves a lot of hard work and discipline. I think proper diet, daily physical activity, adequate hydration, stress reduction and a good night's sleep are crucial to your overall health. I am generally opposed to "pill-popping" (including vitamins, herbs and excessive use of pharmaceuticals) to solve problems and strive to get my patients to simply eat well, exercise/stretch daily and control weight. I believe that everyone should strive to consume less from a package and more from a farmer's market. I also consider a diet that is high in meat and poultry "suboptimal" for health and a seafood and vegetarian based diet considerably more favorable.
