    Philosophy of Care

Physicians need to be able to talk with patients and their families about their medical condition and give them honest advice about the best course of action. Often medicine relies too much on the physician making the final decision;I believe patients and their families should be involved in making decisions about their health. When the medical diagnosis or treatment is not clear, physicians should be honest with families. I enjoy making shared decisions with families and openly discussing what we do and do not know about the diagnosis and treatment of a particular problem.
