Philosophy of Care

My goal is to maximize the function of my patients from a sports prospective or everyday living prospective, depending on the patient's needs. I do this through the use of medications, injections, exercise (such as Pilates, Yoga, etc.), therapy, acupuncture or chiropractic interventions (I don't actually perform acupuncture or chiropractic interventions).

I perform multiple non-surgical interventions to address acute and chronic pain issues related to back and neck problems, such as disc hernations. In this regard, my goal is to bridge the gap between non-aggressive conservative management and surgical intervention. Through the use procedures such as X-ray guided steroid injections to various regions of the back and neck, I attempt to achieve this goal.

I also perform multiple interventions to address joint and muscle problems throughout the body. My goal here is to bridge the gap between conservative management and surgical interventions. I perform steroid injections to most joints of the body (shoulders, knees and hips are my favorite joints to inject). I also perform various injections to nerves, tendons and muscles. With regard to muscles, I perform both steroid and Botox injections, as indicated.

Lastly, I perform diagnostic tests with electromyography and nerve conduction studies for a variety of conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome or nerve compression related syndromes.
