    Philosophy of Care

I am comfortable with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions and enjoy having a diverse practice. My current interest and attempt at personal growth revolves around hereditary colon cancer. Nationally, people at increased risk of colon cancer due to genetic factors are commonly not identified in a timely manner. This leads to higher rates of subsequent cancers and death in both the patients and their family members. With proactive identification, patients and their family members can be appropriately risk stratified, with attentive surveillance and risk reduction offered to those at highest risk, thereby reducing the chance of premature death and disability.
