    Philosophy of Care

I chose my career path because I strongly believe every child deserves a healthy start in life. As a pediatrician, I am uniquely positioned to help children achieve this goal. Health is a function of genetics, diet, environment and personal habits, and I want to help families understand which ways these different factors affect their child's health and educate patients and families to make the healthiest choices possible. I do my best to help families, in whatever way possible, to advocate for their child's health, whether that means helping them to understand how to treat and prevent asthma attacks or navigating the services provided by their local school district. Lastly, I believe the best advocates of all are the patients and their families and strive to include them in decision making, forming a collaborative relationship between doctor and patients.
