Philosophy of Care
The most rigorous and rewarding part of my education in pediatrics came after the birth of my twin boys. I can now more easily relate to all of the fears and anxieties of being a new mother, in addition to having gained an even deeper level of compassion for sick children. For many medical complaints, a natural intervention is usually safer and more effective than prescribing a pill. I realize that every parent and every culture has its own approach and I will always do my best to care for your child while respecting your individual beliefs. Educating parents about potential allergens in the household can help prevent allergies and asthma exacerbations. Teaching parents about proper nutrition can help prevent childhood obesity and diabetes. In addition to face-to-face counseling during an office visit, I also use patient handouts and PAMF's extensive online resources to help parents maximize their knowledge about their child's health. Our children are our most precious asset. I would consider it both a pleasure and a privilege to take part in the care of your child.
