    Philosophy of Care

I stay actively involved both in clinical research and education on a national level. I feel my patients benefit from this continuing medical education.

I work hard to tailor each individual's treatment and care to his or her specific needs. I practice evidence-based medicine, which is a systematic process of appraising and using current research findings to make treatment decisions. This helps ensure my patients get the most current and valuable treatments currently available.

I feel that being a good listener and communicator is an important component to a healthy and productive physician-patient relationship. I encourage patients to participate in their care and the decision making process. I strive to be available to my patients and an advocate for their care in my clinic. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families.

After I completed my surgical training in Seattle, I moved to the East Bay in 2000. In 2008, I began working with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Mountain View.
