Philosophy of Care
Every patient is unique and exists within a dynamic ecosystem of family, community and environment. I try to understand each person, their goals and priorities, and work colaboratively to optimize their health and manage whatever challenges or illnesses may come and go over time. While I am comfortable working in collaboration with alternative and complementary practitioners and practices, I am committed to supporting evidence-based approaches to health and disease and will tell patients if I do not think that their chosen approach is in their best interest. I particularly enjoy taking care of families and extended communities, in whatever form they exist. In part due to my in depth involvement with clinical informatics, I am very open to online interactions with my patients.
