Philosophy of Care
I joined the Encina Practice to be able to truly enjoy my patients. It is a unique luxury to be able to spend quality time with patients and to be present in all aspects of their medical care, from routine preventive care in the office, to acute hospitalizations in the inpatient setting, to the occasional housecall when needed. This has allowed me to get to know not just the illnesses of my patients, but the particular social, familial, emotional and cultural elements that are so important for a meaningful interaction and for providing relevant and quality medical care. I see myself as a partner in health -- someone who can keep the "big picture" in mind, while helping patients navigate the intricacies of our modern health care system.
