Generic Acetaminophen Infant Suspension – Defective Dropper
Several store brands of Acetaminophen Infant Suspension (generic Tylenol) manufactured by the Perrigo Company are being recalled because the dropper included with the product does not have dose markings or calibrations on the white or yellow plunger. The recalled acetaminophen liquid suspension is sold under many different brand names at local retail outlets including Babies R Us, Rite Aid and Walgreens.
Check the dropper/dosing syringe included with any acetaminophen suspension you may have at home. If the plunger does not have dose markings, you should NOT use the dropper. You can call Perrigo's Consumer Affairs Department to request a replacement at 1-800-719-9260. There is nothing defective with the medication itself.
