Physicians and nurses in the Travel Medicine Department have immediate access to an international network of medical information that is gathered and regularly updated by international health organizations.
Gary Fujimoto, M.D., holds a weekly Shared Medical Appointment (SMA) for travel medicine patients on Tuesdays from 5 to 7 p.m., allowing patients to attend the appointments after work. General information is provided about potential health risks in the areas that patients plan to visit. Immunizations are also given during SMAs.
