Jeffrey C. Croke, M.D.
Jeffrey C. Croke, M.D., was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1981 after graduating as a state honors scholar from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Croke completed a residency at the University of California, Irvine and became board certified in internal medicine in 1984. After practicing in Colorado Springs for two years, he came to Palo Alto to join the Stanford Medical Group, becoming a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.
In 1996, Dr. Croke joined the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. He has been on the clinical faculty of Stanford University School of Medicine as an adjunct associate professor of medicine. Dr. Croke has been recognized on several occasions as one of the “Best Doctors in the San Francisco Bay Area” by San Francisco Focus Magazine and one of the “Best Doctors in Silicon Valley” by San Jose Magazine. He also has been recognized as one of the “Best Doctors in America” by the Boston, Massachusetts-based Best Doctors in America.
In 2002, Dr. Croke was elected by his peers at Stanford University Hospital to a two-year term as deputy clinical chief of internal medicine. He remains on the Department of Medicine Quality Assurance Committee of Stanford Hospital and the Appointment and Promotions Committee for Voluntary Clinical Faculty of the Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Croke's internal medicine practice covers the broad range from routine primary care to complex, multi-system internal medicine problems. He has an additional interest in preventive medicine, with a special focus on preventive cardiology.
Dr. Croke is currently an active member of the Alpine Meadows Physician Ski Patrol. He and his family enjoy skiing, backpacking and the outdoors.
