Fremont Optical Dispensary

The Fremont Optical Dispensary is open to all PAMF patients as well as other community members.

The dispensary offers a selection of frames for prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses. Non-prescription sunglasses are also available. Men, women and children have a variety of frame styles from which to choose.

While the dispensary does not accept insurance, patients are encouraged to complete their insurance company's claim form to be reimbursed. Patients should check with their insurance company for reimbursement rates prior to purchasing glasses.

A full-time optician is available to help patients select and fit their frames, as well as educate patients about the benefits of different types of lenses and options. The optician can also assist in adjusting glasses or performing minor repairs.

Patients have access to the dispensary during and after their scheduled eye exams. Although appointments are not required for the dispensary, you can schedule an appointment by calling 510-498-2814. Patients should check in at the front desk upon arrival.

The Fremont Optical Dispensary is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 to 6 p.m.

Contact lenses are available through the Optometry Department.
