    Patient Satisfaction & Quality Patient Care

    Press Ganey (PG) is a national health care performance improvement company. The benchmark is based on PG’s gastroenterology data from 343 medical clinics, having a total of 765 health care providers. For all of 2011, PG surveyed 1,755 GI patients for their satisfaction level with their health care provider and the treatment(s) they received. Survey data from PAMF patients, when compared with the national benchmark, were similar. The average response for our patients was an overall rating of 92.1% satisfaction, compared with 91.2% for the national benchmark (Figure 13). Overall provider satisfaction was 92.5%, compared with 90.9% for the national benchmark. Similarly, the likelihood of recommending their provider was 92.3% for PAMF patients, compared with 91.2% for the national benchmark.

    Press Ganey also surveyed 1,755 GI surgical patients for their satisfaction level with their health care provider and the treatment(s) they received. More than 70% of our GI surgical patients gave the service they received a very good (the highest category) overall rating. They also gave an overall provider-only rating of very good, and said they would be “highly likely” to recommend PAMF to others (Figure 14).
