PAMF is a Not-for-Profit Health Care Provider
Why is PAMF a Not-for-Profit, and What Does This Mean?
As a not-for-profit organization, PAMF operates in a fundamentally different way from investor-owned health care systems. We have no shareholders or corporate officers and any revenue remaining after we cover the cost of care is reinvested to enhance patient services through improved facilities and equipment, health education, medical research and funding community benefit programs.PAMF’s community-based, not-for-profit approach to health care is unique in that it allows us to “do the right thing.” We offer many services and programs, like medical research and care for the elderly, chronically ill and underserved, that few organizations provide because these services are not profitable.
PAMF relies upon the generosity of grateful patients and compassionate community members who make philanthropic gifts. Our philanthropic donors recognize the need to partner with PAMF so we can continue to provide the highest quality care to everyone.
We invite you to explore the critical needs in your community that we are currently raising funds for, and invite you to partner with us. When you give to the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, you invest in a healthy future. Donate Now. Be part of the future of health care.
