The Innovation Center’s kick-off project is linkAges, a community-based network that will support aging in place with a high quality of life. The program aims to create, connect and build a community-based, multigenerational network designed to engage and activate existing resources within communities. The desired results would reduce social isolation and feelings of perceived loneliness to improve the overall health and well being of seniors and family caregivers.
This one-of-a-kind project will have four key components:
linkAges Timebank - Tool to connect neighbors and community members to address personal needs or share skills and make connections in the community
linkAges Connect - Technology to help prevent acute care incidents and support well-being by passively detecting signals (changes in utilities/water usage patterns) that might indicate something is wrong and send alerts to appropriate responders
linkAges List - Crowd-sourced resource referral list to specifically address the needs and interests of seniors and family caregivers.
Personal Profile - Allows members to personalize system components to receive individually relevant system messages and services
It takes a community! Join us and support this groundbreaking community initiative.
