Signs of a Partially Blocked Windpipe
Signs of a partially blocked windpipe include:
- Trouble breathing.
- Mild to moderate anxiety.
The choking rescue procedure (Heimlich maneuver) is not recommended when the above signs are present. A cough will often dislodge the food or object and relieve the symptoms. If coughing does not relieve your symptoms, contact your doctor for evaluation.
