Preeclampsia
Surgery
There is no surgical treatment for preeclampsia.
A Reference cesarean section Opens New Window delivery is used when:
- A rapid delivery is medically needed for the mother's or baby's well-being or survival.
- Induction of labor has not been successful, usually after 24 hours.
- There are medical reasons, such as Reference placenta previa Opens New Window, that make vaginal delivery dangerous.
