Parenting and Breastfeeding Classes

You've heard it said, "children don't come with a manual." There isn't one person that comes into this world knowing how to be a good parent. Mothers and fathers learn to parent through a variety of sources:

Past parenting experience they received growing up
Many new parents turn to countless books and magazine articles on parenting
Advice from other family and friends
From their primary care doctor for their child
Parenting classes and lectures

Of course, some of that information will be good and some of it might not be all that helpful or healthy. The Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) provides a number of classes on improving your parenting skills. We have also developed special web sites just for parents of young children, preteens and teens. In addition, PAMF often has lectures on parenting topics. We invite you to explore many of the resources PAMF has to offer to make you a better parent.
