Breastfeeding Support

Books and Video Lending Library
With a $10 annual membership fee, you can borrow books and videos from our library. Choose from a wide range of topics, including infant nutrition, infant behavior and development, safety and first aid, and special needs babies.
Drop-In Support Groups
Open to all new parents and their babies. There is no registration for this service.
Sales & Rentals
Breast pumps are available for sale or rental. Our qualified lactation consultants can assist you in making the best choice for your situation.
Lactation Consultation
If you require special support with your breastfeeding needs, you can schedule a consultation appointment by calling the center at 831-477-2229. There is a fee for this service. An invoice will be provided to you for your insurance billing purposes.
Lactation Counseling Services
Our lactation counselors are Board Certified Lactation Consultants, qualified to provide lactation education and counseling.
Lili Beggs, R.N., IBCLC, is a Sutter Maternity & Surgery Center Perinatal Nurse and has over 20 years of experience counseling breastfeeding mothers.
Maggie Muir, LMFT, IBCLC, is also a licensed family therapist specializing in in perinatal wellness. She has supported parents of infants and young children through many roles.
Katie Milazzo, IBCLC, provides bilingual support for Spanish and English speaking families.
Lactation Consultation
If you require special support for your breastfeeding needs, you can schedule a consultation appointment by calling the Center at 831-477-2229. There is a fee for this service. A bill will be provided to you for insurance purposes.
New Parents Support Group
Drop-in support groups are offered to all new parents of babies from birth to 9 months old. Support groups meet in the Sutter Room.
- Monday 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Postpartum Wellness
- Tuesday 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. - Babies 3 weeks to 3 months
- Thursday 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. - Babies 4 to 9 months
Breastfeeding Support Products
Our store offers personal support by lactation consultants to help you choose products and resources to support your breastfeeding experience. View a complete list of products or sign up for our Baby Registry online.
Breast Pump Rentals
Medela® Symphony, Classic and Lactina Pumps are available for rental. All pumps have the capacity for double or single pumping. They are auto-cycling electric breast pumps. We can help you determine the best pump for your needs.
Note: You will need a personal pump kit to use with either of our rentals. Pump kits are available for purchase.
