How is your hearing? Rate yourself on how well you hear.

Do you:

  1. Feel embarrassed due to your hearing problems when meeting new people?

  2. Feel frustrated when talking to members of your family?

  3. Have difficulty hearing when someone speaks in a whisper?

  4. Have difficulty understanding conversations when visiting friends, relatives or neighbors?

  5. Ask people to repeat sentences?

  6. Turn up the volume on the radio or TV?

  7. Feel people are mumbling?

  8. Have trouble hearing in groups or on the phone?

  9. Misunderstand what others are saying?

  10. Find it hard to detect high-pitched sounds such as women and children's voices or birds singing?

  11. Withdraw from social activities?

  12. Seem to hear better from one ear than from the other?

  13. Feel isolated?

  14. Receive comments from others regarding your hearing difficulties?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, contact PAMF's Center for Hearing Health to schedule a hearing evaluation by an audiologist.
