Palo Alto Center - Infectious Disease
PAMF’s Palo Alto infectious diseases (ID) doctors, who are internal medicine doctors (or, in some cases, pediatricians) are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. When a patient is referred to the Palo Alto ID doctor by a primary physician, the doctor will review the case and may perform a physical examination.
Laboratory tests are often included to test blood and other bodily fluids to determine the cause of the patient’s condition and to find the best course of treatment.
