The infusion services in Santa Cruz is in the newly remodeled facility at 2850 Commercial Crossing. The new facility brings together in one convenient location all of the cancer care services Santa Cruz patients previously received through other departments and referrals to other locations.
The Center offers:
- Six infusion therapy treatment chairs
- A relaxing and scenic "water wall" and garden
- Two private infusion therapy rooms
- A new convenient and covered patient drop off area

Additional Features
There is also a conference room for patient education, a blood drawing room and a research and clinical trials area. For the convenience of patients, portable DVD players will be provided to patients undergoing infusion therapy so that they can view DVDs or listen to CDs.
In addition to chemotherapy, infusion treatments will also be given to patients with rheumatoid arthritis, hemochromotosis, Crohn's disease and multiple sclerosis. Additional services available on-site include:
- Bone marrow biopsies
- Pharmacy for preparing chemotherapy medications
- Advanced patient safety technology; including Pyxis automated medication management machines and IntelliDose oncology dosing software
- SCMF's Epic electronic health record to prevent medication errors
The development of this facility represents the latest step in PAMF's long-term plan to increase the availability of cancer services for PAMF patients and the community, as well as provide a more personalized approach to guiding the patient and family through the complex process of dealing with cancer. The Santa Cruz Cancer Care Center complements extensive cancer care programs and services in PAMF's Mountain View and Palo Alto locations.
Important information about your visit to the Infusion Center:
- Be aware that authorizations need to be obtained from your insurance company prior to beginning treatment.
- For longer appointments, please feel free to bring reading materials, laptops, music players with headphones, and snacks or lunch. Please avoid bringing foods that have a strong odor for the courtesy of the other patients.
- For the courtesy of our patients, we request that you do not use a cell phone in the Infusion Center.
- Dress in comfortable clothes that allow access to your arms or central line.
- Our visiting policy is one person at time with a patient.
