A basic, underlying pride and satisfaction permeate the daily operations of the multi-specialty group practice that has served the Palo Alto-Stanford region since the 1930s, when the Palo Alto Medical Clinic was created. From its inception, it has been dedicated to the idea that Clinic physicians should provide care for the full range of medical and health needs of the community -- it was one of the few group practices founded by an internist, as opposed to being a specialty-referral group that added primary care physicians later.
