Megan French, N.P.

Megan French received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley in 1995. She became interested in becoming a nurse so that she could work with people with cancer. Megan received her nursing education at the University of San Francisco. She initially became a registered nurse, and then received a Master’s Degree in Nursing. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and is an active member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners.

Megan’s professional interests include gastrointestinal cancers, biliary obstruction, helping to provide expedited and expert care in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal tumors, and acting as a contact person and support for patients and their families.

As a Nurse Practitioner, Megan is able to have a hands-on role in clinical patient care, in that she can assess patients, order tests and procedures for further evaluation, prescribe medications, and provide ongoing patient care and education.
