Philosophy of Care
It is a privilege to reflect on the fact that I have practiced Otolaryngology for 25 years, and that I am as stimulated by the types of patients and problems with which we deal as I was when I began. We in our field are fortunate to treat patients of various degrees of complexity. It has been satisfying to care for patients of all ages and of both sexes, and from all demographics, and I look forward to doing so. I have been fortunate to participate in health care delivery in the private sector (Mills Peninsula & Sequoia) as well as in the public domain (San Mateo Medical Center), and I hope to continue in both of these roles for the reminder of my career. It is my goal that each patient, or patient’s family, with whom I interact know that they have had my uncompromised care and concern, and that they leave our interaction in some way improved.
