May 2014 Update
The interior and exterior of the building are finished. Contractors are working on their “punch lists”, polishing things up and taking care of last minute details. The sign went up on the front of the building a couple of weeks ago, and there will soon be a “monument” sign placed near the street by Van Ness, which is currently in production.
Any work that would encroach into Mission Street has been completed, so there will be no more lane closures. Now that we have CalTrans clearance, we were able to move the construction fencing to the back of the sidewalk, opening the sidewalk to pedestrians. The parking lot is finished and striped. New asphalt will be laid on Van Ness in the next couple of weeks. The extensive landscaping has all been put in and they are testing for drip irrigation integrity and making minor adjustments.
During the month of May communications, IT and medical equipment will be installed. We anticipate receiving certification of occupancy later this month. As we slide into June, furniture and cubicles will be moved in. Staff and managers will receive training on the new equipment and facility features, and artwork will be installed. We’re getting close!
The new clinic will be opening in phases. Family Medicine will begin seeing patients in the new location on Monday, June 30 on the second floor of the clinic. Urgent Care will open on the first floor of the clinic on Sunday, July 13. Pediatrics will begin seeing patients on the first floor of the clinic on Monday, July 14.
When all have moved in on July 14, the hours of operation and contact information will be the following:
Urgent Care - M-F, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday and holidays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
All other services: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
