Nutrition Services

Throughout its history, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) has been a staunch advocate for nutrition and lifestyle management for disease treatment, prevention, and overall wellness. The philosophy of Nutrition Services is to provide up-to-date medical nutrition therapy and counseling services for the community, respecting it's cultural diversity.

A team of highly trained registered dietitians provide patients with reliable and accurate information about the body's nutritional needs, the safety of new diets and food additives, vitamins, special food products, medical diets and general eating habits. Addressing nutrition and lifestyle early on, may prevent unnecessary medical consequences that can lead to physical, financial and emotional debilitation of patients.

Individual and group services are available to meet people's individual needs. We encourage patients to bring a support person to their appointment or class. A referral is required for this service.
