The hand is our tool. We use our hands throughout our daily lives, often without truly realizing their importance. Hands allow us to get dressed, eat, read, drive, play, communicate with each other and so much more. Without them, our quality of life is severely challenged. The ability to use our hands can be jeopardized by injury and disease.

The Hand Surgery team at Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Mountain View Center is dedicated to alleviating problems and getting you back to important activities in your life. We take care of surgical and non-surgical problems that affect the upper extremities from the elbow to the fingertips.

Some problems may be resolved with therapy, splints, medications and injections. When surgery is needed, our surgeons employ the latest surgical techniques including arthroscopy of the wrist and elbow.
