Bullies: Who, What, and WhyThis bullying module was developed to help teachers and students deal with bullying in the fourth and fifth grades – in part because much bullying reportedly begins in the sixth grade. Our motivation is to help stop bullying before it ever begins.
The module is not meant to be comprehensive. Instead, it is meant to be easily used or adapted by teachers to provide information, resources, and create individual activities & group exercises that can be used together – or in pieces – in a classroom setting or assigned as homework.
The goal of this material is to help kids understand that there are different kinds of bullying, develop the personal skills required to stand up to bullies or report their behavior, and support their friends to stop the bullying.
Each activity in this module can be linked to at least one National Health Education Standard (included in Appendix A). Every activity has a purpose, a list of supplies required, some suggested discussion points, a key, and lists the actual page from the student module that you will need to reproduce.
