high school student writer
Super Size Me involves a man, Morgan Spurlock, who decided to eat only food from McDonald's for 30 days. His vegan girlfriend was appalled. Even worse, he had to try everything on the menu and if they ask him if he wanted to "super size" his meal, he had to say yes. He wasn't allowed to do a lot of physical activity, and soon, his liver and kidneys began to fail. He also gained 25 pounds.
After this experience, he went around to different schools to educate kids on healthy eating and cutting back on fast food.
This film helps confront the problem of obesity in America. After seeing this film, many people definitely went to McDonald's less. This common fast food chain even took away the super size option.
I would give this movie 4 out of 4 popcorn merits because it is entertaining (and gross) for all ages to see. It also helps educate people on the consequences of eating too much fast food.
