Millennials Rising: The Next Great Generation
by Neil Howe, William Strauss (2000)
Building on their previous works (Generations, 13th Gen), authors Howe and Strauss discuss what they call the "Millennials." This is the group of children born between 1982 and 2000. Strauss and Howe believe that each generation is a part of a historical cycle, with four generations to a cycle. The Millennials are the next great generation. Contrary to popular belief, the authors believe this generation is harder working and better at community-building than any generation since the G.I.'s (the generation that fought in WWII). This book is an interesting and hopeful look at our children.
