Call 911 for Life-Threatening Emergencies
The Emergency Department is designed to provide fast, life-or-limb-saving care. Many people, however, use the ER as a place to receive urgent care without realizing it. If you’re ever in doubt, go to the closest ER.
When to Come to Urgent Care
Visit our Urgent Care Centers for expert and timely treatment. We handle urgent problems that are not life-threatening.
- Minor accidents and falls
- Broken bones and sprains
- Breathing difficulties
- Severe abdominal pain
- Bleeding and cuts
- High fever
- Vomiting, diarrhea and dehydration
- Sore throats and ear pain
Urgent Care Wait Times
For your convenience, here are the current wait times at most of our Pediatric Urgent Care Centers:
Palo Alto Pediatric Urgent Care: Appointments are preferred. Scheduling starts at 6:30 a.m. Monday to Friday & 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
Wait time is updated during Urgent Care hours. Time is an approximation of the current wait time and subject to change.
