Twilight Series (Books 1 through 3)

    Book 1: Twilight
Storyline: Strong-willed 17-year-old Bella decides not to move to Florida with her mom and the new boyfriend, and heads to the rainy town of Forks, WA instead – to bond with her dad. She falls head over heels for Edward Cullen, a distant, stylish, and disarmingly handsome senior, who also happens to be a vampire. The tension, danger, and secret love make for many exciting adventures.

Review by Surya: Twilight is an intriguing romance book filled with forbidden love, where danger lurks around every corner. Every moment of the book was packed with something interesting, always making you want to keep reading. There are places in the beginning that go a little slow, but the action picks up as their relationship steadily grows.

Review by Madison: Twilight is a fun book. Although it starts a little slow, it is action-packed at the end. Bella and Edward have plenty of issues in their relationship. Told from Bella's perspective, you get the female point of view on their relationship. There is enough romance to keep every girl on their toes, wanting to read the next chapter, wondering what will happen.

    Book 2: New Moon
Storyline: Bella celebrates her 18th birthday with her boyfriend Edward and his family, a unique clan of vampires that has sworn off human blood. However, a turn of events makes Edward believe that to protect Bella, he must leave her. Bella spends months in a funk but is befriended by Jacob, a wild sophomore with a secret and a penchant for motorcycles. Torn between Jacob and memories of Edward, she must make a choice.

Review by Madison: New Moon is the fun sequel to Twilight, and goes beyond Forks. You meet new characters, experience a few plot twists. Every reader will be shouting at Edward for being an idiot. This book keeps you turning pages, wondering what will happen next. You also find yourself laughing, sighing and cursing at what happens.

    Book 3: Eclipse
Storyline: Graduation is looming and Edward is back, but serial killers, werewolves and constant twists of fate keep readers on the edge of their seats. Never a dull moment, Jacob, Edward and Bella try to find a comfortable existence.

    Review by Madison:
Eclipse is the third in the series by Stephanie Meyer. Eclipse will have you reading constantly, unable to put it down! Edward and Jacob will also have some differences of opinion. You will be biting your nails, and hanging on every word. Look forward to the next book, Breaking Dawn, coming out in August!
