    Cosmo Girl

Cosmo Girl is the younger version of Cosmopolitan magazine. Cosmo Girl is for teen and preteen readers, and it is a pretty typical magazine. There are not too many ads, but the ads that do run are mostly about beauty products and clothes. There are some funny, embarrassing stories about things that have happened to other girls, and do-it-yourself ideas such as inexpensive ways to decorate your room. Other features include recipes, workout tips and upcoming fashion trends.

Besides just having pictures of female models, Cosmo Girl also has pictures of a few male models. The section of "Real Life" stories has some entries that are about mature issues. Some parents might not want their preteens reading them, so it might be a good idea for parents to look at the stories first.

I would rate Cosmo Girl 3 out of 4 because of its generally good content. Overall, it is appropriate for teens and preteens and has typical but interesting features.
