Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups of flour
3 eggs
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions

Melt butter in a large saucepan. Stir in brown sugar. Remove from heat and let cool for about 10 minutes. Sift together and set aside baking powder and salt. Beat three eggs into sugar mixture one at a time. Add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Spread into a greased 13-inch by 9-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool and cut into two-inch squares.
