Ingredients

4 eggs
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla
4 cups whipping cream (or about 3 pints half and half)
1/2 tablespoon salt
5 cups milk
ice

Directions

Beat the eggs until they are foamy. Gradually add the sugar. Beat until thick. Add the cream, vanilla and salt. Mix well. Pour into ice cream maker. If you don't have one, you can put the ice cream mixture into a plastic bag. Fill a larger bag with ice and some rock salt. Place the bag with the ice cream into the bag with ice and shake it for a few minutes, until the ice cream is frozen.
