The Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) for Health Care, Research and Education is one of the most respected health care institutions in the United States. The not-for-profit foundation is a pioneer in both multispecialty group practice of medicine and outpatient medicine. The foundation is an affiliate of Sutter Health and has three health care divisions: the Palo Alto Division, the Camino Division and the Santa Cruz Division. This fact sheet refers only to the Palo Alto Health Care Division.

The Palo Alto Division is staffed by 284 primary and specialty care physicians of the Palo Alto Medical Clinic, and more than 1,200 employees.

The Palo Alto Division operates clinics in Fremont, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Portola Valley and Redwood Shores.
