Dr. David Leibowitz received his M.D. degree in 1977 from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia College. He completed his internship at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and his residency at Presbyterian Hospital in New York. He also completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University in New York. Dr. Leibowitz is board certified in hematology, internal medicine and medical oncology.

Dr. Leibowitz is a member of the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American College of Physicians and American Association for Cancer Research. He is married and has two sons. He enjoys photography, rock music and collecting fountain pens.
