Andrew Gutow, M.D., is actively involved in the field of orthopedic medicine at the national level teaching other surgeons how to best care for their patients' hand problems through scholarly writings and lectures.
Dr. Gutow was the co-editor of an issue of Hand Clinics, which was dedicated to the treatment of distal radius (wrist) fractures, a common injury to the wrist.
He regularly speaks at national meetings, including the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, lecturing on the treatment of scaphoid fractures of the wrist.
He has authored or co-authored publications on the complications of distal radius fractures and principles of treatment of distal radius fractures.
Dr. Gutow has also published on emerging treatments for scaphoid fractures. |
