Philosophy of care:

One of the things I love about being a family medicine physician is the continuity of the relationships I have with my patients and their families. Some of my "oldest" patients have actually been my youngest patients, as I met them in the hospital the day that they were born!
Whether a person comes in for routine physicals or for treatment of a more serious condition, he or she deserves a long-term relationship with open communication and consistent, comprehensive care.
It is not only important to me to respond to your concerns and questions, but also to make sure that you understand all aspects of your diagnosis and treatment during your appointment.
I have always enjoyed working with children and adolescents. The recent birth (August 2005) of my son Josh has given me first-hand experience in exploring all the issues and decisions every parent must face. It is important to not only be able to answer health-related questions from parents but also to be able to discuss more practical issues (such as getting your baby to sleep more or to start eating solids). When Josh was born, he had jaundice and lost 25 percent of his birth weight in the first week of his life. He is now a healthy baby, but I appreciate the quality of care he received from our doctors and aim to provide the same, high-quality, compassionate care to my patients.
Being a part of PAMF's Redwood City Center has provided me with invaluable tools, such as our sophisticated electronic medical records system, to provide the best patient care possible. PAMF has done much to make communication between patients and physicians as easy as possible. For example, PAMFOnline allows me to e-mail my patients. This online service also gives my patients access to their health records and the ability to schedule appointments or ask for prescription renewals online.
My upbringing was a combination of Asian and American influences. And growing up in a multi-cultural environment has given me an appreciation of all of our differences. I understand that there is no "one right answer" for any patient. I look forward to working with you and coming up with a personalized health care plan -- one that addresses all of your concerns and works to keep you as healthy as possible. |
