As an SMA behaviorist, Ms. Gable works with patients to address issues of anxiety and depression as it relates to short-term medical problems and chronic illness. She helps patients build on their strengths and identify useful resources and coping tools to increase quality of life and a sense of well-being. |

Judith has been an inpatient and outpatient mental health practitioner for more than 25 years. She facilitates the Palo Alto Medical Foundation's (PAMF) Shared Medical Appointments (SMA) and runs a monthly support group for Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients at the Palo Alto Clinic. Judith also has a private practice in Mountain View where she provides psychotherapy to adolescents, individual adults and couples. She also works part time at the Cleo Eulau Center as the director of a collaborative counseling program for high-risk teens. In addition, she supervises doctoral students of psychology and is involved in program planning.
