Philosophy of care:
|
I believe very strongly in providing accurate information and enabling patients to make decisions for themselves regarding their care. I believe in presenting all options and information available. Many GYN procedures involve quality of life. I speak and educate regarding opportunities that women have to improve their or their childrens' quality of life. Examples include the opportunity to have office procedures for sterilization or heavy menstrual cycles or an opportunity to collect stem cells from umbilical cord blood. I have a special interest in surgical treatments for pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary loss. I also believe that even if a patient does not act on information provided, just having the information is a good resource for them.
