Francis A. Marzoni, M.D., MBA
Francis A. Marzoni, M.D., MBA, is president of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation’s (PAMF) Palo Alto Division, Chief Operating Officer for PAMF and a member of PAMF's Board of Trustees. Dr. Marzoni served on the Executive Board of the Palo Alto Medical Clinic from 1997 to 2004 and was its chairman from 2001 to 2004.
Dr. Marzoni received his M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine after graduating with honors from Dartmouth College. He joined the Palo Alto Medical Clinic in 1978 after completing his residency in general surgery. He practiced as a general surgeon there through 2003.
Dr. Marzoni is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and chairs the Planning Committee of the Group Practice Improvement Network. He belongs to the Santa Clara County Medical Society and the California Medical Association, and serves on the board of directors of the American Medical Group Association and the Council of Accountable Physician Practices. He is the co-author of several papers on various subjects in general surgery. Dr. Marzoni received his MBA from the University of Tennessee in 2004.
